Veterinary Assistant
Hello, my name is Jeffrey. I am a proud New York City native, born and raised in Queens, with family roots in Ecuador. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and deeply value compassion, inclusivity, and care—both in my personal life and my work.
I share my life with my German Shepherd, Zeus, who truly lives up to his powerful name. In my downtime, I find peace in the rain, enjoy going on hikes, and consider being at home one of my favorite forms of self-care.
I am currently attending tech school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, driven by a passion for improving the lives of my patients and supporting the families who love them. I hold both a Bachelor’s degree and an Associate’s degree in Animal Science, and I graduated from a high school that specialized in agriculture and animal science, which laid the foundation for my career in veterinary medicine.
I am RECOVER CPR–trained, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). BLS focuses on essential life-saving techniques such as chest compressions, airway management, and rescue breathing, while ALS builds on these skills by incorporating advanced interventions, including medication administration and cardiac monitoring during emergencies.
